Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s new film Telusu Kada is out in theatres now. Neeraja Kona is the film’s director. Raashi Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty played the female leads in the movie. The film’s review is out today.
Story:
Varun (Siddhu) is an orphan since childhood. However, when he grows up, he wants to have a family of his own. In the process, he meets Anjali (Raashi Khanna), with whom he gets married. However, things take a turn for the worse when the couple faces a setback, leading to the introduction of a doctor named Raga Kumar (Srinidhi Shetty). Will Raga’s entry change the life of Varun? How did Varun manage his relationships? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
Sidhu Jonnalagadda’s performance as Varun is the film’s strongest element. The director has designed a character that brings Siddhu out of the DJ Tillu zone. Siddhu gave his best and impressed everyone big time. The female leads also did a neat job in delivering the performances. Raashi Khanna and Srinidhi looked good on the screen and played their parts within the limitations. The triangle between the lead pair is impressive ,and the story revolves mainly around the three. Comedian Viva Harsha evokes some laughs. Altogether, the film’s cast is good.
Technical Aspects:
The production values are strong, with neat visuals and a polished setup. Thaman’s music and background score enhance several emotional moments, while the cinematography and editing are satisfactory. As a first-time director, Neeraja Kona shows promise, particularly in crafting moments and character nuances, but the storytelling could have been tighter and more focused.
Review:
Telusu Kada is a partly engaging rom-com drama that works mainly because of Sidhu Jonnalagadda’s performance and a few emotional moments. It has flashes of depth but lacks consistency and novelty.
While the film’s premise initially feels interesting, it doesn’t bring much freshness to the table. The story feels inconsistent and loses grip as it progresses. The second half dips in pace and evokes memories of familiar husband-wife dramas, despite a modern presentation.
Overall, it’s a decent, one-time watch that may appeal to young audiences this Diwali.
Plus Points:
Performances
Music & BGM
Plot Point
Minus Points:
Inconsistent Flow
Lack of freshness
Final Verdict: Partly Engaging Rom-Com!
