Oke Oka Jeevitham Review:

Hero Sharwanand’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual project, Oke Oka Jeevitham has hit the screens Today. Directed by debutant Shree Karthick, the film is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures and has Amala Akkineni in a crucial role. Let’s see how the movie is.

Plot:

The plot revolves around three close friends Adi(Sharwanand), Sreenu(Vennela Kishore), and Chaitu(Priyadarshi). Though they struggle for success, they get stuck with a lot of problems in life. Mainly, Aadi who loses his mother in childhood lives a worried life. However he always dreams to become a great musician. Fortunately, all these three friends meet scientist(Nasser) who promises to take them back into their childhood by his time-travel speciality. Excited with his words, three of them agree and go back to childhood through a time machine. With this they go for 1998 and meet their younger versions. But the twist in the stories arises when the younger versions of them use the same time machine and come to the future leaving the adults behind. What happened next forms the remaining story.

What’s Entertaining & What’s Boring:

The time-travel concept blended with humorous scenes in the first half and sensible mother emotions in the second half is a major highlight of the film. The climax of the film is also good as it ended in a very practical manner. The logic of time travel is handled well and the aesthetics have been designed properly. The mix of past and present is executed subtly by the director.

The film has a very slow pace and it’s a big doubt whether it can entertain the B and C section audience or not. Also the film takes a bit more time to enter its main plot. Good editing and racy screenplay would have made the film a lot better. Also, coming to the time travel concept, it is portrayed in an easy manner in the first half. Mainly, more explanation might have been given to children entering into the present concept.

Performance of Cast & Crew:

Sharwanand stood as the major highlight of the film with his great acting skills. He impressed the audience with his natural acting. His good acting is followed by Vennela Kishore and PriyaDarshi. They acted well and evoked a few laughs as well. Amala Akkineni is excellent in her role. Her classy portrayal in the emotional moments is a major highlight.

Ritu Varma looks decent as usual and is a good fit for the role. The three child actors were superb in their respective roles. Nazar is good in his role.

On the technical front, Sujith Sarang’s Cinematographer stands as one of the key highlights. Jake Bejoy’s background score is good, but coming to songs, they are average. Dialogues are decent and so are the production values. Editor could be a little better as a little more sharp work would have made the film a big treat.

First Half & Second Half:

The first half of the film provides great entertainment and has been presented in a fun manner. Nasser’s role created good depth to the proceedings. First half is filled with thrill, and also fun in many scenes.

The second half carried good emotions. The logic of time travel in the second half is handled well and the aesthetics have been designed properly.

‘The IBC News’ take:

On the whole, Oke Oka Jeevitham is a decent-made science fiction drama with great emotions and good comedy. Gripping narration and excellent performances by artists catches everyone’s attention. However it is its slow pace and editing that may not reach to B and C section audiences. If the film reaches them too, then it stands as a decent film to watch for everyone.
