Collaborating once again, Natural Star Nani and director Srikanth Odela bring us the high-profile film ‘The Paradise.’ Kayadu Lohar plays the film’s female lead. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director. Released in theaters today amidst massive expectations, let us dive into the review to see how the movie fared.
Story:
Set in the 1980s, Sammakka (Sonali Kulkarni) fights alongside her oppressed community for their rights and identity. However, they struggle against Shikanji Malik (Mohan Babu), who has been destroying their people. Amidst these trying circumstances, Sammakka gives birth to a son, Jadal (Nani). What did Jadal do for his community? Why did he resent his mother? How did Jadal stand up against the entire system for their rights and identity? Forms the core of the plot.
Performances:
Nani delivers a phenomenal performance once again, serving as the film’s main highlight. Bringing different variations to his character, he mesmerizes the audience with wild action, grace, and powerful emotional acting. Mohan Babu lives up to his role as Malik, bringing depth and serving as a strong antagonist to Nani. Sonali Kulkarni impresses deeply with her strong screen presence and emotional acting as the mother. Kayadu Lohar brings glamour to her role, while Raja Ravindra, Sampoornesh Babu, Raghav Juyal, Priyadarshi, and others made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects:
Ch Sai’s cinematography is exceptional, brilliantly framing the period setting, key sequences, and intense action blocks. Anirudh Ravichander delivers peppy songs with great picturization, paired with an impactful background score. Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri spares no expense, resulting in magnificent and uncompromised production values. Srikanth Odela handles the action episodes and core conceptual presentation well, though his writing falters in keeping the narrative engaging throughout.
Review:
‘The Paradise’ arrives as a high-voltage, intense action drama anchored by Nani’s stellar performance and wild action blocks. While the film has a strong core conflict and solid technical values, the slow-paced, predictable second half dampens overall engagement. Ultimately, it dilutes all the expectations and disappoints the audience big time. The writing is completely weak and hampers the screenplay flow. The movie has some good moments but it could not be sustained throughout the second half, making it a boring watch on the big screen.
Plus Points:

Minus Points:
Sluggish Second Half
Weak Hero-Villain Track

Final Verdict: The Paradise Lacks Comfort!
