Allu Cinemas, a new four-screen multiplex in Kokapet, Hyderabad, has been inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The theatre features India’s largest Dolby Cinema screen, about 75 feet wide, reportedly the second-largest in the world, and the biggest in Asia. Equipped with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technology, premium seating, and advanced acoustics, the multiplex aims to deliver a highly immersive movie experience while strengthening Hyderabad’s reputation as a major cinema hub.

The screen is being described as India’s largest Dolby Cinema screen and is reportedly the second-largest in the world and the largest in Asia. The four-screen multiplex features a premium Dolby Cinema auditorium that combines the visual quality of Dolby Vision with the immersive sound of Dolby Atmos, offering audiences a highly immersive cinematic experience.
The auditorium has been designed for comfort and optimal viewing with premium recliner seats, a curved stadium-style layout, and clear sightlines from every seat. With a capacity of 644 seats, the theatre includes a 75-foot-wide wall-to-wall screen with a flat aspect ratio, making it one of the largest Dolby Cinema screens globally.

Speaking about the launch, Ashim Mathur, Vice President of Marketing – APAC at Dolby Laboratories, said Hyderabad is one of the most passionate cinema markets in the world, with films made in the city increasingly reaching national and global audiences beyond the Telugu-speaking regions. He added that India has become an important market for Dolby, which is expanding its Dolby Cinema experiences to cities such as Pune, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad to meet the growing demand for premium theatre experiences.
