When YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh in the last term, his relations with the film industry were not very good. Jagan’s behaviour when some celebrities met the AP CM did not go down well with the public. The scenario has been discussed in the AP assembly today.
In the past, Chiranjeevi, along with Mahesh Babu and Prabhas, attended the event after receiving an invitation. However, Jagan did not meet them directly; instead, he asked Cinematography Minister Perni Nani to speak with them.
Chiranjeevi strongly opposed this and questioned why Jagan had skipped the meeting. BJP MLA Kamineni Srinivas stated that this was the reason Jagan met the heroes later, and it is Chiranjeevi who questioned this strongly, paving the way for Jagan to come down. However, Hindpuru MLA Balakrishna condemned this.
Balakrishna condemned Kamineni’s comments, stating that all the heroes were invited but were insulted by Jagan’s behavior. Though Balakrishna himself did not attend that meeting, he criticized the incident. He also expressed unhappiness about being sidelined at a recent FDC meeting.
These remarks made the Chiranjeevi-Jagan episode a hot topic again in politics and film circles.
