The government of India announced the list of National Film Awards in its 70th edition, and the announcement witnessed the awards being granted to some talented personalities from the film industry. Karthikeya 2 is the only film from the list that bagged an award in terms of Best Regional Movie. Apart from that, there are no awards for those working in Telugu movies. On the other hand, Rishab Shetty was awarded the Best Actor award for his performance in the film Kantara. Bollywood film Gulmohar also received awards in good categories.
