Queen Elizabeth II, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, passed away on 8 September, Thursday.
The 96-year-old monarch breathed her last in Scotland. Hearing the sad news, many noted people arrived at her place and many condolences poured in from around the world following her demise.
Now, one Interesting news about her is making waves in social media. Queen Elizabeth II till date, had received many gifts in the past. Recently, her Family revealed an astonishing gift Queen received from the then Nizam of Hyderabad.
Talking about the gift, The Royal family took to their social media account and wrote, “The necklace was given to then Princess Elizabeth as a wedding present in 1947 from the Nizam (ruler) of Hyderabad. The Nizam left instructions with the firm of Cartier in London that Princess Elizabeth should select a wedding gift herself, and this platinum necklace set with approximately 300 diamonds was chosen. Her Majesty has continued to wear the necklace throughout her reign and has also loaned it to The Duchess of Cambridge,”.
The photograph of the queen wearing the necklace, and the necklace, now is being kept at Buckingham Palace for public display.
