Team India wins the T20 series against West Indies by 4-1

Team India concluded its West Indies tour on a dominating note. After clean sweeping the ODI series by 3-0, Rohit Sharma and co. won the T20I series by 4-1. In the final T20I held last night, Indian spinners spun a web around the Caribbean batters and made them get all-out for mere 100 runs.

While batting first, India made a high total of 188/7 in 20 overs. Rohit was rested for this match and Hardik Pandya took over the captaincy responsibilities. Shreyas Iyer (64) and Deepak Hooda (38) helped India in getting a high total. They made a crucial partnership of 76 runs for the second wicket and put us in a dominating position. Odean Smith (3/33) grabbed three wickets for the West Indies.

West Indies was never alive in the chase because Indian spinners Axar Patel (3/15), Ravi Bishnoi (4/16) and Kuldeep Yadav (3/12) started troubling the Windies batters right from the beginning. Their sensational spells made West Indies get all-out for 100 runs in 15.4 overs. This is the first time in Indian T20I history where spinners took all 10 wickets of the opposition team. Axar Patel has been given the Man of the Match Award. Arshdeep Singh was awarded the Man of the Series.
