The Ganesh Immersion in Hyderabad and entire Telangana is going on with massive celebrations and euphoria. Thousands of Ganesh Idols are on the way to Tank Band for grand immersion on this final 11th day. Around 35,000 people personnel are deployed all over the state and the procession is under monitoring with close to 10+ lakh CCTV cameras.
In what can be called as an All Time Record, the most famed Balapur Laddu was auctioned for a whopping Rs 24.60 lakh this year to a leader of TRS party- V Laxma Reddy, beating last year’s auction bid which fetched Rs 18.90 lakh. The 21 kg large gold-coated Laddu was auctioned off by Balapur Ganesh Utsav Committee amidst amid a large gathering of devotees gathered for the Ganesh Nimarjan. Out of 9 people who have participated in Laddu auction this year, three of them were outsiders and 6 of them are Balapur residents.
On other hand, Stones were pelted on Ganesh Procession in Hussaini Alam, Old City disturbing the peaceful Nimarjan. But, the people teams have reacted immediately and dispersed crowd to bring the situation under control. The local leaders and concerned officials in Hyderabad have been regularly monitoring arrangements made for smooth conduct of Ganesh Visarjan.
