Tamil Nadu government to seek explanation over Nayanthara’s surrogacy

Surrogacy is the trend that is slowly picking up in the Indian celebrity community. With Nayanthara announcing her motherhood yesterday, the discussion of the same is back in the news. Although Nayanthara did not confirm that she became a mother via surrogacy, it is very clear as she got married only recently and acted in films.

Now, indirectly taking a hit at Nayanthara, veteran actress Kasthuri made some comments saying that Surrogacy is banned in India. Although she took no one’s names, many fans of Nayanthara troleld her, to which she has given an explanation.

“Surrogacy is banned in India, except for medically inevitable reasons. This is the law from Jan 2022. We are going to be hearing a lot about this for next several days. To all those telling me to mind my business,as someone who qualified to be a lawyer, I am certain legal analysis counts. And unlike the issue being discussed, my views are given completely altruistically, non commercially and after more than five years of being eligible,” she tweeted.

At the same time, the matter had officially gone to the notice of Tamilnadu government. The Tamilnadu health minister had told a journalist that the government is going to seek an explanation from the actress if they had followed due procedure.

However, neither Nayanthara nor Vignesh Shivn opened up on the same. On the other hand, Nayan was last seen in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Godfather which was released on the occasion of Dusshera.
